I'm always on the lookout for people to work with on my personal portrait projects. My projects require people. everyday people from all walks of life, not models, not actors, just people like you who are willing to sacrifice an hour or so out of your day to be creative with me. why not give it a shot?
The information i'm asking for on this form is simply designed to help me figure out which of my many projects fit you and your style, I have something for everyone.
i am a photographer in southern oregon, if you live more than a few hours from me, please don't let that stop you, when i have a few people in an area i can photograph, i will be there.
on the question of nudity. i have been doing this for a very long time. trust me when i say that there is nothing more awkward than asking someone whether they would like to do some sort of nudity. nothing perverse (search 'fine art nude photography' on google to get An idea of what that is). the question instantly changes the mood of the shoot and makes both parties uncomfortable. i prefer to get this question out of the way at the start so that there is no confusion and we can just have fun creating. if you tell me you are not comfortable with nudity, i will not ask you again. if you tell me that you are comfortable with nudity or you might be ok with it i will require a copy of your id which clearly shows you are at least 18 years of age. no exceptions. that being said, if you are offended by this question, please move on and thank you for taking the time to visit my website.
on the day of the shoot you will be signing a standard model release, this is required when a photograph clearly shows a persons face, without it i am unable to share your image in any format. if you're under 18 years of age a parent (no cool aunts or uncles, no good friends who are over 18. a parent or legal guardian only) must sign the release as well and must be present at all times during the shoot. again, no exceptions.
you are welcome to bring someone with you when/if we meet. just make sure they know that i will probably put them to work holding reflectors, lights, being our dj, (there is always music when i photograph people).
when a particular project is complete, this could take months or, sometimes, years. you will get a free copy of not only the image but the zine/book you're in. so it's important that you update me with your information should you move.
if you have any questions you would like answered before filling out this form please feel free to use the 'contact' page.
thank you for taking a minute to read everything, and thank you for your time and interest in my projects.
